FSM Digital Bible — Recent Projects
Bible translation and digital publishing projects are underway across all four states: Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap. The Pohnpei project includes both New and Old Bible translations, as well as a Kapingamarangi Bible translation.
Our Mission
FSM Bibles exists to make Scripture accessible in the heart languages of the Federated States of Micronesia. Discover Gospel resources in Pohnpeian, now available for market-day outreach with new tracts designed for sharing faith in everyday moments. Pohnpeian Gospel Tracts for Market Days Through digital Bible translations, hymn books, and Bible resources, we serve the islands of Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, and Yap — equipping local churches and believers with God's Word in Chuukese, Kosraean, Pohnpeian, and Yapese.
FSM Bibles serves the Federated States of Micronesia by making the Word of God accessible in the heart languages of the region. The ministry focuses on providing digital Scripture, hymn books, and Bible study resources in Chuukese, Kosraean, Pohnpeian, and Yapese. By combining modern app technology with careful translation work, the organization ensures that believers throughout the islands can engage with the Bible in the language they understand best. The digital approach also allows for easier distribution across the widely scattered island communities, making Scripture available to people who may otherwise have limited access to printed materials.
The Pohnpeian Bible App represents one of the flagship digital products offered through the ministry. Designed for both mobile and computer use, the app provides the complete Pohnpeian text of Scripture along with search and navigation features that make personal study convenient. Users can read, search, and share passages with ease, whether they are on the main island of Pohnpei or among the outer islands. The app is part of a broader effort to ensure that every language group in the FSM has a reliable digital version of the Bible for daily reading and devotional use.
Hymn books are an essential part of worship life throughout Micronesia, and the ministry has worked diligently to make these available in digital form. Collections for Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap have been prepared so that congregations can sing together even when printed copies are scarce. The digital hymn books preserve traditional melodies and lyrics while making distribution practical across remote communities. This resource has been particularly valuable for churches that previously had to share limited physical copies among many members during worship services.
Bible translation projects continue to advance across all four states of the Federation. These projects involve careful collaboration between trained translators, local church leaders, and community reviewers who ensure that the language used in Scripture is both accurate and natural. Translation work in the FSM is a long-term commitment, requiring patience and prayer, but the impact on local believers is profound. As new portions of Scripture are completed, they are made available through the website and associated apps, allowing churches to begin using them in worship and teaching immediately.
Beyond translation and digital apps, the ministry serves as a central hub for Bible resources from partner organizations. Materials from United Bible Societies, CrossWire, and e-Sword are featured and made accessible to users in the region. These partnerships extend the range of study tools, commentaries, and devotional materials available to Micronesian believers. By curating and connecting these resources, the website helps users find trustworthy materials without needing to navigate multiple platforms or international shipping delays.
The website includes a directory of local churches across the FSM, helping residents and visitors locate congregations in their area. This directory supports community connection and encourages fellowship within the body of Christ throughout the islands. For newcomers to an area or for travelers moving between islands, the directory provides a practical way to find a place of worship. The church listings are part of the ministry's broader mission to strengthen the local church and connect believers with one another across the geographically dispersed nation.
A dedicated helpdesk and login system allow registered users to access additional features and receive support for the digital tools offered on the site. Creating an account is straightforward and opens up capabilities that enhance the user experience, whether for personal study or church ministry use. The helpdesk assists users with technical questions about the apps, downloads, and other digital resources. This support infrastructure ensures that even those with limited experience using technology can benefit fully from the available Scripture tools.
The ministry is supported by a team of executive officers and volunteers who share a common commitment to making God's Word available throughout Micronesia. Prayer is a central component of the work, with the leadership regularly seeking God's guidance for translation decisions, project priorities, and partnership opportunities. The broader community of supporters, both within the FSM and internationally, sustains the ongoing work through intercession and encouragement. This spiritual foundation undergirds every technical achievement and publication milestone.
Looking ahead, the ministry continues to develop new tools and expand the reach of existing resources. Work on additional language editions, improved app features, and enhanced hymn book collections reflects the ongoing commitment to serving the churches of the FSM. The website is regularly updated with news, project announcements, and calendar items so that users can stay informed about what is happening across the four states. Through faithful, sustained effort, the ministry aims to see every Micronesian believer equipped with Scripture in their own language, for the glory of God and the strengthening of the church.
Our Vision
We envision every Micronesian having access to the Bible in their own language — whether through digital downloads, Android apps, or printed resources. By partnering with Bible societies and leveraging technology, we work toward the day when Scripture is freely available to all across the FSM.
