Our Mission

FSM Bibles is a ministry dedicated to Bible translation and digital distribution across the Federated States of Micronesia. We work to make Scripture accessible in the heart languages of Micronesia — Chuukese, Kosraean, Pohnpeian, and Yapese — through digital Bibles, hymn books, and free downloadable resources.

Where We Serve

The ministry serves the four states of the FSM: Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, and Yap. Our work includes ongoing translation projects, digital publishing of Scripture and hymn books, and supporting local churches with resources in their own languages.

Our Work

FSM Bibles coordinates Bible translation projects across all four states. The Pohnpei project includes both a New Bible Translation and an Old Bible Translation, as well as a Kapingamarangi Bible translation effort. Each state project also produces a digital Bible and a hymn book in the local language. All resources are made available for free download, and select Bible apps are accessible on Google Play for Android users.

We also maintain connections with local churches in Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, and Yap, helping to distribute Scripture resources where they are needed most.

FSM Bibles exists to serve the spiritual needs of the people of the Federated States of Micronesia by making Scripture available in the heart languages of the islands. The ministry is rooted in the conviction that every person should be able to read and hear the Word of God in the language they understand best. From Pohnpei to Kosrae, from Chuuk to Yap, the work of translation and distribution touches communities across the entire nation. The translation work undertaken by the ministry spans multiple languages and requires careful, sustained effort from dedicated teams. Chuukese, Kosraean, Pohnpeian, and Yapese each carry their own unique expressions of faith and culture, and faithful translation honors both the biblical text and the communities it serves. Beyond translation, the project also develops digital tools and platforms that make these resources available online, ensuring that even remote island communities can access Scripture through modern technology. The goal is not simply to produce Bibles but to see God's Word take root in everyday life across the FSM.

The ministry is carried forward by a network of partners, volunteers, churches, and supporters who share a common vision for Scripture accessibility throughout Micronesia. Prayer undergirds every aspect of the work, from the earliest stages of translation to the final distribution of completed resources.
